Meet... GAIL TAYLOR

For more than three decades Gail has gracefully danced her way around the globe and through the world of visual art and design...

Starting her creative career at eighteen in London, England as a Make-up Artist, she worked on many popular music videos, with bands like Duran Duran, Wham, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, etc. After two years, she headed to Hollywood to work in Special EFX, where she continued that profession for eight years, working on many  actors  like Johnny Depp, Robin Williams, Bill Murray, Ben Stiller etc. 

Needing a change, Gail began creating her own independent film projects as a Director / Choreographer, but to make money during this time she sold her art and designed parties. This became more and more successful... so she opened her an Event Design company, which she ran for 8 more years, designing huge parties for clients such as the Academy Awards, Ringo Starr, NFL, Grammy Awards, MTV, XBox and many film premieres. Her unique vision and whimsical approach earned her the title 'The Dr. Seuss of Event Design'.

 In 2002, Gail married, became a mom and moved to Vancouver, Canada. With a flare for Interior Design, she started working a a 'Behind the scenes Designer' on TV lifestyle shows such as Love it or List it Vancouver, Consumed, Worst to First, Vacation Rental Potential, Love it or List it - Vacation Homes, the Bachelorette and recently the 2nd season of Farming for Love. Gail has also been busy in the ‘scripted’ film and TV world, having designed many movies for Hallmark and the Lifetime Networks and designed 2 seasons of the hit TV show for Hallmark - When Calls the Heart.

 As a painter, she has had many one-woman shows and has a long list of custom art clients, she was even commissioned to created two large pieces for The Academy Awards Governor's Ball in LA.

 For a long time, Gail dreamt of bringing her love for interior design, fashion and painting together.  However with running a busy design firm and raising her son, there never seemed to be enough time! Then in 2018 she got diagnosed with cancer for the 2nd time, this one really took her down physically, for quite a while. But being the blue-assed-fly that she is (never able to sit still)... she seized the moment and started BLOOM DESIGNS!

Gail continues to create new paintings and products and lives a healthy blessed life!
